Product: VettiGuard Product owner and provider: Ikemba Tech (ABN 82 565 415 510) Effective date: 25 September 2026 Version: 1.3
1. Purpose
This Notice explains what a VettiGuard documentary identity check does and does not establish. It should be linked from identity-capture journeys and customer integration documentation.
2. Information that may be processed
An authorised identity journey may process a document image and information such as name, date of birth, document type and number, issuing country or authority, expiry information, machine-readable-zone data, supported barcode data, document portrait, capture quality and consistency or tamper indicators.
3. Screening methods
Depending on the document and configured provider, VettiGuard may use image-quality checks, optical character recognition, machine-readable-zone validation, supported barcode/PDF417 analysis, field consistency, expiry checking, geometry and bounded tamper or recapture signals.
4. Important assurance boundary
VettiGuard native document screening is not, by itself, confirmation from the government or organisation that issued the document.
A result such as pass, review or reject reflects the evidence available to the configured VettiGuard screening and review process. It must not be described as a government verification unless an authorised government or issuer service was actually used for that transaction.
VettiGuard does not claim that native screening provides forensic proof that a document is genuine or forged.
5. Government identity services
If a customer separately integrates Australia's DVS, FVS or another authorised issuer database, the customer must comply with the applicable eligibility, participation, consent, permitted-purpose, security and contractual requirements. VettiGuard's public website does not itself imply access to those services.
6. Facial comparison
Where document-to-face comparison is enabled, a document portrait may be compared with a live facial capture through a trusted biometric service. This is a separate biometric process and must be supported by the applicable biometric notice and consent or other lawful authority.
7. Human review
Automated document signals may be provisional. High-risk or uncertain cases should be reviewed by an authorised person according to the customer's policy rather than silently converting an uncertain result into approval.
8. Data location
VettiGuard uses production infrastructure in the United States, so identity information may be stored or processed there in accordance with the Privacy Policy and Data Hosting & Subprocessor Notice.
